Services

Chemotherapy Center

The services offered at Advanced Hematology & Oncology Group
of Puerto Rico are:

  • Evaluation of Patients with Cancer Diagnoses and
    Blood related Diseases
  • Administration of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy
  • Bone Marrow Biopsy and aspiration
  • Therapeutic Phlebotomy

Chemo Suites

Eight private rooms where our patients receive their chemotherapy treatment in a relaxed environment. This area allows our patients to be accompanied privately, in a comfortable treatment room, equipped with sofa, Smart TV and complementary internet service. In addition, we use a modern wireless emergency call system, for immediate communication with our nursing staff.

Infusion Center

In our infusion center we administer medications for non-oncological conditions such as osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis and colitis, among others.

Multidisciplinary Treatment

As an integral part of Hospital HIMA San Pablo Oncológico our patients have access to all other services for their treatment such as radiotherapy, pathology, interventional radiology, oncological surgery and bone marrow transplant, among others. Our medical staff participates in the weekly “Tumor Board” meetings to discuss the most complex cases presented by different specialists.

Breast Cancer Patient Navigator

“Certified Breast Cancer Patient Navigator”

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Puerto Rico wherefore, AHOGPR has integrated a specialized service for patients with this diagnosis. We currently have a certified breast cancer patient navigator that offers individualized assistance to patients, families and caregivers, in order to eliminate barriers that the health system can present, and thus make it easier for the patient to receive the necessary services according to their diagnosis.

Other Services

Advanced Hematology and Oncology Group of Puerto Rico promotes a holistic approach to cancer treatment offering our patients the following in house services:

  • Nutritionist
  • Social worker
  • Psychologist

Our facilities are located in the Hospital HIMA San Pablo Caguas and in the Hospital Menonita Caguas. Thus, the patient has access to all treatment services for their condition in an integrated manner.

Application See Your Chart

Always offering the latest in technology, we provide access to Onco EMR “See your Chart” program that gives our patients fast, easy 24/7 access to their health record including appointments, lab results, pathology tests, radiological results and any other important information. All under the strictest security and privacy controls.

It also provides the patient’s external medical personnel, virtual access to their records, facilitating the decision making process.
